I was lucky enough to see this in person at the Saratoga Auto Museum's BMW exhibit last year, you really can see all the texture and brush strokes close up. I was more excited about the car itself than the paint but to each their own! The museum just opened a great Mustang 50th Anniversary display this weekend 10/10 NP

nice! I have seen a few in the flesh, I went to an event a few years ago that featured the Calder and one of the weird 80's ones (not the Rauschenberg which is my 3rd favorite)

this was at Saratoga last year?! I go to Saratoga every year for vacation and I just happened to not go to the museum this one time... I'm jealous

It was awesome, probably the best exhibit I've seen there in the last ~8 years of going. If you're still going this summer the Mustang exhibit is definitely worth the trip. There's a 1965 AWD prototype 'Stang that I would have loved to have seen displayed up on a lift, still neat though.
